Edgar DEGAS
Known for his unique off-center composition and perceptive analysis of movement, Degas was one of the masters of modern art in the late 19th century. His subject matter often included ballet dancers, women in general, race horses. His etchings are extremely rare, produced often only in one piece for the pleasure of the artist. After his death, his publisher Vollard undertook with permission to produce some multiples from struck plates.
